the first time they pulled out the red mats for us in my self defense class this past semester, we were all lined up in a fight stance.. and i could not stop laughing because this was all i could think of. i had my whole row singing “i’ll make a man out of you” with me by the time class was done

My little cousins Luke and John are officially the most adorable kids ever. My aunt told them she was taking them to pick out flowers for my mom for mother’s day since she’s John’s godmother and they told her they wanted to get them for me too. So Luke (the 5 year old) said they had to get me yellow since its my favorite color and then John (the 2 year old) picked which one. Sweetest thing ever

I can’t even put into words how awesome it was
Elphaba and Glinda were so so good! All the songs were done amazingly. AND OMG DEFYING GRAVITY WAS AWESOME. It gave us goosebumps and not even kidding I seriously teared up. I’ve been obsessed with the music since high school and to finally see it on stage was just great. Especially Defying Gravity when she went up in the air, omg. That part me and my mom were so excited about, the flying and the song and the high notes.. Just so beautiful lol. Popular was hilarious, the emerald city scene was so green and great. No good deed was great. EVERYTHING WAS SO GREAT.
I’m so happy I went to it knowing nothing but the music. Everything was a surprise and I loved it. I avoided learning the story and didn’t let anyone tell me anything about it, which was cool because both me and my mom had so many “Ah ha!” moments where we figured things out and how they linked to the Wizard of Oz. It was really really cool how they connected everything to it and explained so many things: I now know why the cowardly lion is cowardly, why the scarecrow is the scarecrow, and why the tin man has no heart, why the wicked witch of the east had the house dropped on her, why the twister even happened, why the wicked witch of the west wanted the slippers back so badly, etc.
EVERYTHING ABOUT WICKED WAS JUST SO AWESOME. That’s basically what I’m trying to say here. As soon as I’m done this final tomorrow I’m gonna start reading the book.
